About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join one of our leading clients. The role will involve working on an application development project with an immediate start. Candidates with a strong agile background are highly desired.

Key responsibilities

Facilitate Agile ceremonies for various distributed streams. Including: sprint iteration planning, backlog grooming, daily stand ups, sprint retrospectives and release planning.

Encourage collaboration and proactively seek opportunities to improve collaboration between teams

Proactively plan and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of services for the designated products and projects

Assists with internal and external communication by communicating information, especially relative to historical team metrics, progress towards iteration and release goals, and team capacity

Manage release plans, iteration plans, budgets, forecasting and status reporting for the designated projects

Facilitate frequent retrospectives, sharing metrics to identify and implement improvements

Lead agile projects from the initial project backlog creation and planning activities through demonstration and release deployment with responsibility for all aspects of the teams' productivity for all phases of the project

Lead risk and issue identification, and mitigation activities with the project team including escalating those in a proactive and professional fashion when appropriate

Ensure timely and accurate communication and distribution of project information to all appropriate team members and stakeholders

Work with multiple co-located and distributed Scrum teams (off-shore and on-shore)

Manage Sprints - keeping order, process, delivery, priorities accurate and on time

Work with Product Owners to ensure that testing and feedback is completed in a timely manner and meeting the Sprint timelines

Facilitate cross functional collaboration and drive self-management

Coach and help set up fit for purpose agile delivery models and behaviours

Open to new ways of working - focus on setting fit for purpose agile models rather than enforcing core agile principles if it is not useful

Drive adoption and readiness to proposed changes

Ability to handle resistance to change

Experience in using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, JIRA/Confluence
