Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Graphic Designer

Contract Duration: (12 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
Responsibilities:
- Provide design support for various client Business Lines with tactics ranging from advertisements, reports, brochures, photography selection, programs, fact sheets, PowerPoint presentations, e-newsletters, email templates, digital signage, infographics and social media images. Develops initial rough layouts or mock-ups for creative review with Art Director.
- Participates in an agile workflow, partnering collaboratively with Art Director, design team, copywriters, account team and others, focused on continually improving impact of work through consumer feedback, performance analytics and other insights.
- Collaborates with Art Director as needed for design support and professional insights.
- Produces and is accountable for the final design of creative assets and ensures accuracy, attention to details and overall meets or exceeds the design objectives.
- Ensures brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions, keeps up to date with global brand guidelines in collaboration with Art Director.
- Takes direction from the Art Director and account team to achieve effective and efficient outcomes.
- Responds to all requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner.
- Works to improve the team’s overall performance and embraces a collaborative approach to design and feedback.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- 1-2+ years’ experience in creative/graphic design within both an external and in-house agency
- Expertise of design techniques, skills, tools and procedures for the applicable media
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign and Acrobat
- Intermediate expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop and quality control practices
- Basic HTML knowledge
- Understands design applications in traditional and digital channels
- Excellent design, production and prepress skills
- Breadth of experience vs. specialist in a certain field
- Experience in both print and digital (i.e. Integrated graphic designer)
- Sound understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Graphic Design or related field
