  • Participate in and contribute to innovative research and development projects to develop novel vaccines for veterinary use.
  • Planning and execution of experiments in collaboration with the project manager and other (international) team members.
  • Research projects may involve different areas of expertise, such as virology, bacteriology, immunology, molecular biology, cell culture or cell biology.
  • Setting up, development and validation of new techniques and assays.
  • Organize and report (animal) lab experiments.
  • Work and report research data in accordance with internal and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) guidelines.

For our Nijmegen Research site (located at the Novio Tech Campus) we are looking for a:

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN Vaccine Research and Development (1 FTE)

Functie-eisen

- Bachelor of (Applied) Science (BSc) degree (or equivalent) in virology, bacteriology, immunology or similar.
  • Working experience in a research environment is a requirement.
  • Experience in laboratory techniques associated with virology, bacteriology, and/or immunology.
  • Additional working experience in working with eggs and/or cell culture is an advantage.
  • Ability to think analytically, problem-solving skills, drive to succeed.
  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is a requirement.
  • Experience with and proactive approach to GLP requirements.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
