As Senior Industrial Engineer you are responsible for driving all activities in defining and implementing the industrial aspects of our new products – from choice of wafer process and foundry to choice of package and definition of industrial flow – all aimed to ensure the NPI launch at the agreed time, costs and quality level within agreed boundaries, in compliance with the Company Business Creation and Management Process. The Industrial Engineer participates in multi-disciplinary project team and interfaces with our manufacturing sites around the globe.
Your core tasks will be the following ones:
- Support in delivering industrialization strategies for New Product Introductions (arguments for location, flow etc.) and drive realization of the chosen industrial strategy
- Draft, issue and monitor Application Sheets for package development and secure that Package Innovation definition covers the Product Line requirements
- Drive (mitigation) actions coming from Design for Manufacturability (DfM) and risk assessment (FMEA)
- Deliver the required industrial documentation at the right quality level (e.g. industrial flow, marking, packing, logistic flow)
- Initiate and manage Assembly and Test (sample) requests for the NPI or Sustaining projects
- Review process/package gate reports by factories to cover customer and company’s requirements
- Hand over product knowledge to sustaining experts after product release
- Drive continuous improvements and Kaizens on Industrial way of working
- Lead or participate in 8D-teams (manufacturing problems, customer complaints)
- Initiate and drive cost, efficiency, technology & quality improvement projects and transfers
- You will work together with a diverse and close group of experts in a scrum based project organization.

Functie-eisen
- Minimum 7 year experience in industrial engineering preferably with project leader or product owner (scrum) skills and ambition
- Degree qualified in technical discipline (related to manufacturing, industrial engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering)
- Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor front end and especially back end technology, and manufacturing processes;
- Knowledge of and experience with the company’s industrial base is considered a pre
Maintain and extend knowledge on industrial solutions internally (factory visits, contacts to BL peers, package innovation) and externally (literature study, competitor tracking, conferences)
- Leaderships skills and attitude (stakeholder management, challenging others, the bigger picture, power of persuasion, able to convey enthusiasm, communicative, result-oriented, able to delegate)
- Experience with applying problem solving techniques (8D, DMAIC, 5xWhy, etc.)
- Good communication skills with fluency in English and Dutch; strong interpersonal skills with team orientation
