As a Medical Informations Specialist Dermatology you are a natural trainer and story teller who loves to share their knowledge with experts in the field and to build the bridge between science and market.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Development of therapeutic area expertise;
  • Creation of medical materials, such as slide kits;
  • Medical and product training;
  • Coverage and digestion of medical congresses;
  • Medical support to global, regional and operating company Marketing and Medical teams for specific projects, such as advisory boards and educational events.

Our client is part of an international company, and develops and manufactures biologicals aiming to treat diseases in the field of cardiology, immunology and oncology.

The department

The Medical Affairs Department is divided into two sub-departments, each with its own role in supporting the company’s commercialized drugs; this role sits within the second sub-department Global Medical Affairs (GMA) that is responsible for providing medical support for the immunology portfolio, including its existing drugs as well as its pipeline drugs.

This medical support takes the form of medical information and internal & external medical education, and is provided to the regional and global commercial functions (Marketing and Medical Affairs) and its affiliates around the world who commercialize these products.

Within GMA, the core functions of the department are the Therapeutic Area Franchises. We are looking for a candidate for the Dermatology franchise.

Functie-eisen

The suitable candidate has a university degree in a biomedical field or (preferred) PhD in biomedical field with additionally a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience

In addition you have:

  • Proven project management experience
  • Must speak, read and write business fluent English
  • Expertise in Dermatology is not a must but a pro; knowledge of Rheuma-;Gastroenterology, or Immulonology in general is interesting

Furthermore you have strong communication skills, specifically the ability to translate data in comprehensive language & capable of storytelling. You have excellent presentation skills, extensive experience with Powerpoint and other presentation tools, and you are adept at using technology

You are flexible in a sense that you are able to cope with tight and changing timelines and priorities in order to assist a wide range of customers (both externally and internally) from varying cultures and with varying needs and able to handle unpredictability and prioritizing tasks.

You are self-motivated and able to work independently. You have a strong service ethic.

You are available for 32 to 40 (preferred) hours per week and can spend 4 days per week on site.
