"The Johan Cruijff Arena (which used to be known as the Amsterdam Arena) is a huge stadium made up of interweaving steel constructions and concrete. From a technical perspective it is a challenging puzzle. Due to the scale and complexity of the construction, it is challenging to keep a grip on the overview during the detailing.

Every Thursday we work on location. As a result we are close to the construction and can see what certain situations look like in practice. This helps us to solve bottlenecks. On top of this we work entirely in a BIM environment so that reality can be simulated.
Our office is unique, namely a skybox. Our view is unique. How many structural engineers can say that they work in a skybox and, while doing so, can watch a rehearsal by Armin van Buuren in person?"
